Ministry Team

  • Vicar

Jonathan has been Vicar of St Andrew’s since 2004, which makes him the third longest-serving incumbent in the church’s 130-year history. Highlights of his tenure include a £450,000 project to conserve the building, installing a new heating system, creating the community garden and opening the community cafe. He is passionate about the Gospel, without which there is no hope for the world, and about being a local church where everyone can feel at home, whatever their background.

  • Pioneer Priest

Johnny is an ordained pioneer priest licensed to serve in the parish of St Andrew’s, and a self-sustained minister, earning his living elsewhere. His role is to explore opportunities for the neighbourhood to flourish socially, spiritually and environmentally. He is a coach, mentor and speaker with 30 years’ experience in community organising, personal development and social entrepreneurship. He belongs to the Earlsfield Friary, a place based collective exploring localism and systems change through an economy of mutuality and participation. When he is not working you will usually find him up a mountain, on open water or sitting around a fire with friends. He obsesses about the game of rugby.

  • Lay Reader

Viv is a civil servant. She joined St Andrew’s in 2000, and served as PCC Secretary from 2002-08. She was licensed as a Reader by the Bishop of Woolwich in 2018.

Church Wardens

  • Alex is a father of two and has been serving as Churchwarden since 2021. He is the director of a local construction company. Working with Meg, he co-designed and built the Home Cafe. Alex has a heart for community, and is also a member of the Earlsfield Friary. He is a founding member of local refugee charity Just Shelter and is also working to see community led housing become part of Earlsfield’s story. Alex is a passionate (if not particularly good) surfer and Arsenal season ticket holder.

  • Nigel’s background is in running social care services, and in the not for profit sector. He is a trustee of charities working in social care, health and wellbeing. He is a keen supporter of visual and performance art organisations, enjoys travelling, and has undertaken a number of treks to raise funds for charity. He joined St Andrew’s in 2020, and the PCC in 2022 as Secretary. In 2023 he became a Chuchwarden.

Parochial Church Council

  • Lisa has been a resident of Earlsfield for over 20 years and has two sons, both in local schools and loves being part of the community. Her professional background is in investment banking and this is her second stint on the PCC. Lisa also volunteers at the Earlsfield Foodbank, registering new guests and offering support as well as providing food parcels.

  • Meg has been part of the congregation of St Andrew’s since moving to Earlsfield in 2012. She is a member of the Earlsfield Friary, a faith based collective. She is the founder and director of Home Community Cafe, which opened in St Andrews in 2017. She is passionate about community engagement and seeing people from all walks of life coming together. She is a trustee of the Earlsfield Foodbank and supports the work that they are doing out of St Andrew’s. Meg is passionate about all things to do with hospitality and is happiest when behind the cafe counter making you a coffee and serving someone a plate of delicious food! Meg has been on the PCC since 2021.

  • Paul has been living in Earlsfield and worshipping at St Andrew’s since 1996. He works in banking technology at Canary Wharf and is a passionate supporter of local charities including Wandsworth Music and Paradise Cooperative. In his spare time, he likes to cycle, run, train at the gym, play chess and the piano.

  • Hannah is a dancer by training but these days you’ll find her choreographing and curating spaces for people to encounter the fullness of who they are in the hope that they can flourish and live a life in full bloom. She has been living in Earlsfield for nearly 9 years and loves the deep roots she has here. When not working she can be found on her yoga mat, walking in nature and running around after her young family!

  • Rachel’s background is in running large scale events. Since having her family she has retrained as a massage therapist specialising in aromatherapy. She loves cycling, live music and going to the theatre, although with a young family doesn’t have a huge amount of time for these things! Rachel joined the PCC in 2022.

  • Gabrielle has worked in various aspects of television and film production for most of her career. She has lived in Earlsfield for 14 years with her family, with strong connections to the local primary school and community. During this time she has been involved in running the family services at St Andrew’s, events at Home Cafe, volunteering at the Foodbank and is committed to the future of St Andrew’s as a major stakeholder in Earlsfield.

  • Natasha co-owns The Oak Montessori Nursery School in Wimbledon Park, where she strives to provide a strong foundation for children's future education by nurturing their unique spirits and equipping them with essential skills. Along with her professional pursuits, Natasha is an active member of St Andrew’s Church and volunteers with coffee and flower duties while occasionally supporting Allsortz Children's Service. Natasha lives in Southfields with her husband, Antonio, and their two children. She is dedicated to giving back to the community and contributing to the well-being of others.

  • Nicki has always lived locally, apart from her university years. She has three daughters and runs her own accountancy practice. When she’s not working, her passions are yoga, walking, swimming, reading and spending time with family and friends and talking…lots! Nicki loves the sense of community in Earlsfield and St Andrew’s Church is at the heart of that. Nicki feels privileged to be on the PCC and to be able to support and help drive the future mission and vision of the Church in these challenging times we face.

Parish Administrator

  • Raynor joined St Andrew’s as Parish Administrator in 2018, after getting to know community members through volunteering as a Rainbows leader. She is currently training to become a counsellor, so is very busy studying when she isn’t working. She is married to Matthew, and they have two children and a cat. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, yoga and singing with the Southwest Songbirds.
