Celebrating Pride month
June is Pride Month, celebrating the lives of LGBTQIA+ people, while recognising the prejudice and discrimination they continue to suffer, including, sadly, within the Church. Our Church Council is keen to be more intentional in promoting St Andrew’s as an Inclusive Church, and so we are flying the Pride flag in the Community Garden throughout June. We will also be focussing on Pride at the Parish Communion on 23 June.
Reflections and Sermons
At the request of some members of our community, we have added a page to the website where we will occasionally post the text of sermons, and other reflections.
New Wednesday Communion Service from 9th August
Our new Wednesday evening communion service will be at 6pm every Wednesday, except when the Community Meal takes place (usually the third Wednesday of the month, also at 6pm). This new service offers an opportunity to create some reflective space in the middle of many people’s increasingly busy weeks, and to connect with other members of the St Andrew’s community. Everyone is welcome to partake of the communion bread and wine if that is their custom, or alternatively to receive a few words of blessing.
The first of these new services will take place on 9 August. This will replace the previous Wednesday morning communion services, the last of which will be on 19 July.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Giving Month
We have launched our Giving Month!
We need YOUR support to raise an additional £75,000 every year.
